I remember moving to Shanghai from Beijing about a year ago and getting investing advice (unsolicited and not targetting any companies in particular) on the train from a mother and her daughter. They weren't trying to promote any particular stock, they just couldn't stop talking about the stock market. There’s a lot of truth to this.
